Duo Oaza - Viktorija Popovska & Ana Todorovska
Struga & Skopje, North Macedonia
OAZA is an artistic duo committed to exploring the intersection of creativity and sustainability. Through their practice, they transform found and recycled materials into meaningful wearable art that tells stories of renewal and care, grounded in circular methods. Reuse is central to all aspects of their work, with a focus on materials that have reached the end of their life cycle, broken, worn, or otherwise deemed unusable, including waste found and shaped by the lake.

Their goal is to create wearable art, patches, jewellery, badges, and pockets, while raising awareness of the environmental costs of mass production, particularly its intensive water use and pollution. Each piece functions both as an artwork and as a quiet protest against waste and water misuse.

"Anima Lacus", Latin for “Soul of the Lake”, honours the living spirit of the lake, reminding both the artists and the audience that we are not separate from the lake, but part of its ecology. Each piece in the collection is crafted from discarded materials, reflecting the need to repair our relationship with nature through sustainable, mindful living. The work invites care, circularity, and reverence for the waters that sustain us.
